In an experimental way the book delivers insight into fourteen different ways of live and perceptions in Berlin.

The first experiment "construction" enabled people to construct their subjective image of Berlin through given parameters: construction elements and a playing area.

Spontaneous drawings were produced in thirty seconds to twenty-six words each and in two minutes an actract colour painting was developed, that reflected the subjective colour impression of the city.

In the experiments the subjective image of the city was built, drawn and also commented by the participants. The documentation of this, is followed by texts: authors think about Berlin by writing – thoughts about Berlin from the distance, about finding ways of a new city experience or about concrete need for action in a district of Berlin.

Fourteen people, fourteen perspectives on the city Berlin: the book documents two different experiments, in which people visualize their subjective image of the city. Through constructing, drawing and painting they find visual analogies to their personal observations, thoughts and emotions regarding the city. The project was presented in a showcase at designtransfer.
